Krabi: Introdução

Krabi is located on the mainland of Thailand, opposite Phuket. It is a scenic, beautiful province marked with limestone outcrops rising out of both land and sea. Visitors to Krabi can expect to be enchanted by its stunning natural beauty with a wide selection of adventure opportunities to experience.

  • Ao Nang is Krabi's chief mainland resort, offering mainly low-cost and mid-market accommodation. It's a multi-purpose destination with vibrant shops, restaurants and nightlife.
  • Close-by is Krabi's Railay Beach, a renowned rock-climbing centre and often featured among the world’s best.
  • Away from the coast, Krabi Town has a small, cheery night market with food stalls.
  • Tham Phra Nang beach is named after a mythical princess and has its own cave.
  • Longtail boats depart from Ao Nang to visit Koh Hong, its name meaning an island with a big hole in the middle – a huge lagoon which has eroded from the island outwards. Good for kayaking and bird watching.
  • Other quieter beaches such as Koh Pak Bia and Koh Poda Beach and Sandbar - are plentiful, many with 4 and 5* hotels within stepping distance.
  • Krabi Town is a resort town in an area of limestone karsts and mangrove forest.
